Turns out Madden '10 is a very tough title to get. So tough we can't secure enough copies to have a tournament in it. So we'll be changing the tournament from Madden '10 to Madden '09. Also turns out that Cellfactor: Psychokinetic Wars is downloadable content only! We'll be replacing that with another tournament as well. Stay tuned for details on that! |

Due to technical issues, the Battlefield 2 tournament is having to be changed to a Battlefield 2142 6v6 instead. Those who have had their hearts set on a Battlefield 2 tournament can come see us in Digital Gaming for a refund on your purchase. To qualify for a refund you should have a copy of the original ticket receipt purchased from gaming registration. |

With the convention less than a week away, this space will be used in conjunction with our twitter feed to report the latest news in Digital Gaming as it happens. We'll be posting pictures, videos, tournament results, and everything we can think of while the convention is going on! When it comes to console gaming, our needs are great. With 8 XBOX-360 console units hooked up with 16 controllers on 24" monitors we need over 80 console titles just to keep the experience fun and exciting for you, the convention goer. Gamestop will be powering all of the console gaming at Dragon*Con providing the software titles that will allow us to not only run our tournaments but also allow us to run casual gaming as well. |

Dragon*Con is the largest multi-media, popular culture convention focusing on science fiction and fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music, and film in the US.  Dragon*Con 2009 will be held Labor Day weekend (September 4 - September 7, 2009) in Atlanta, GA.
In our 19 year history, Digital Gaming has provided a LAN Center style environment within the greater Dragon*Con convention overall. With each passing year, we've grown larger and larger, attracting a greater core audience of convention attendees who attend Dragon*Con purely for the LAN tournaments we offer for cash and prizes.
This year is our biggest year yet in terms of available space and scale of activities. We have 18 tournaments planned spanning both the PC and XBOX 360 platforms. Our tournaments include classic events such as Starcraft: Broodwars and Mechwarrior 4: Mercenaries as well as more modern tournaments such as Counterstrike: Source, Halo Wars, and CellFactor: Psychokinetic Wars. We also have several marquis game publishers coming in to do demonstrations of their latest games as well as hardware manufacturers coming in to display their latest in Cutting Edge technology. Tournaments are slowly being added to the Dragon*Con Gaming site. Even though a tournament schedule is published on this site, it is very preliminary and subject to change. The overall goal is to solidify on a tournament schedule by the end of the week depending on logistics and other factors. |
